The Coachella rumour mill began working overtime throughout the back end of 2016 but yesterday Coachella Valley Music and Arts finally but the rumours to bed and released the full lineup for April’s Festival. As expected, Radiohead, Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar are leading the line at America’s headline festival and with the likes of Travis Scott & Future in attendance there’s questions over if this is the best ever.
So is it the best? The sensible answer here is no. With previous headliners such as Oasis in 2002, the Beastie Boys in 2003, Prince in 2008 and OutKast’s return in 2014 it’s a hard task to be thought of as the best but it does come close. Beyoncé is the first female artist to headline the festival since Björk and Radiohead are going to be making a third headlining appearance taking them level with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Although as always it's not those at the top of the bill who are going to make the headlines but rather those last minute additions and surprise guests.
You can be sure that more details will come out between now but in the meantime you can see the full lineup here.
